mnlarmaParbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS) is the only political organization of the eleven multilingual indigenous Jumma people of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), southeastern part of Bangladesh. It is established on 15th February 1972 with its humanitarian ideology that based on the principles of the Nationalism, Democracy, Secularism, Equality and Social Justice. The founder of the PCJSS was the forerunner of the renaissance of the Jumma people, the member of the Gona Parishad (Constituent Assembly) and the Parliament Mr. Manabendra Narayan Larma.

Report on transfer of 5 Departmental Functions to the HDCs

On 8 November 2012 the Government of Bangladesh transferred 5 different departmental functions to the three Hill District Councils (HDCs) with a great pomp. They are Health Engineering Directorate (under Health and Family Welfare Department) to Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari HDC; Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation (BADC) (under Bangladesh Agriculture Extension Department) to Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari HDC; Cotton Development Board (CDB) in Khagrachhari zone (under Bangladesh Agriculture Expansion Department); Ramgarh Hatchery Farm (under Fisheries and Livestock Department) and 5. Government Child Home (Shishu Sadan) (under Social Welfare Department) to Bandarban and Khagrachari HDC.

A Returnee PCJSS member shot dead by armed terrorists of reformist group and UPDF in Matiranga

On 4 June 2012 a returnee PCJSS member named Amalendu Bikash Chakma alias Barun (65) s/o Anuruddha Chakma of Tabulchari Master Para of Tabulchari union under Matiranga upazila in Khagrachari district was shot dead by the armed terrorists of reformist group (Rupayan-Tatindra) and UPDF.
It is learnt that on that day Amalendu Bikash Chakma was returning home from Dak Bangla bazaar and when he reached at Mongjai Karbari Para of Tabulchari union at around 4.30 pm, two armed terrorists of reformist group (Rupayan-Tatindra) and UPDF by a motor bike halted him and shot on his neck. He was taken to Matiranga hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
PCJSS condemns this heinous armed attack on unarmed PCJSS member and demands to arrest the culprits involved in this attack and examplary punishment to them.

Brutal Grenade Attack on Jumma Students: A Conspiracy of Ethnic Cleansing

1. Introduction
Around 3:30 pm of 20 May 2012, a powerful grenade attack was conducted on the Jumma students at Kalyanpur petrol pump of Rangamati town when they were awfully busy in preparing for return journey to their respective destinations after concluding of the inaugural ceremony of the 23rd Anniversary and 17th Central Council of Pahari Chhatra Parishad (Hill Students Council). 14 persons received fatal injuries at the cowardice grenade attack of the terrorists. Among them 11 injured were the members of the Pahari Chhatra Parishad (PCP), 1 auto-rickshaw driver, 1 saloon worker and 1 bus driver assistant. All the 14 seriously wounded were firstly hospitalized in Rangamati General Hospital. Afterwards 6 of the seriously wounded were taken to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital from among who Mongcha Sing Marma died later while 3 others were taken to the Dhaka Orthopedic Hospital in serious condition.

Anil Chakma shot dead by armed terrorists of UPDF in Laxmichari

On 19 May 2012 an armed group of UPDF killed Anil Chakma at Jurgachari under Laxmichari sadar in Khagrachari district.
Since its inception, anti-accord element UPDF have been conducting terrorist activities including kidnapping, killing, extortion etc. in order to hinder implementation of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Accord signed in 1997 between the Government of Bangladesh and the PCJSS and to fulfil its vested interest by making CHT situation turmoil. After the signing of the Accord, UPDF killed more than 300 supporters of CHT Accord including 85 PCJSS members.
